Lankhorst Boltless Bend Restrictor design
The Lankhorst Boltless Bend Restrictor is made from a high performance, marine-grade polyurethane(PU) and is designed to provide protection against overbending of your cable, umbilical or flexible.
The design of a bend restrictor assembly consists of half shells that are interchangeable and interlock with each other, keeping the installation process simple. Due to the unique boltless design no bolting is required, except for the end piece. There are several options for interfacing with the fixed structure, such as male or female reaction collars to allow a restrictor string to be attached to an end fitting, or tether clamps to allow the string to be fixed to the cable in case attachment is required away from the end fitting termination.
Optimized for installation
The Lankhorst Boltless Bend Restrictor is engineered to enormously improve on offshore installation and in the meantime offer the best protection against overbending. The assembly is mounted around the cable and attached to the structure so that bending of the cable will be prevented beyond the designed locking radius of the bend restrictor, thus preventing the cable from overbending
